crazyJAT
Hi all, I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 running an AMD Athlon 64 3000+. I am trying to get Snow Leopard to work properly on my setup with little success. I installed a retail install of 10.6.0 onto a hard drive from my Gigabyte GA-EP45T-DS3R and updated to 10.6.4. Installed chameleon 2.0 RC4 with bundled kexts. I then installed the legacy kernel package from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1492469 and added the AppleNForceATA.kext from http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...10.6.2#Gigabyte I am able to boot to the desktop on my AMD board, but the desktop is pinkish. Also, the time displayed is negative, the menubar is transparent, file timestamps don't show up, java applications wont run, and a lot of other issues. Anyone know the solution here? Thanks. crazyJAT
I figured out that this is caused because the CPU does not support SSE3. Looks like the SSE3 emulation does not work in Snow Leopard. Hopefully someone will fix it.

crazyJAT
Hi Did you made some progress? I have the same MB and wld like to try SL as well. Thanks I would suggest you find out if you CPU is SSE3 capable. If not, you can pick one up for $10 or $15.
