Hi, all

I don't know when it started doing this, but when I put blank DVD to burn some files but I noticed it didn't pop up anything for blank disk. Then I found out that my system is not recognizing my two DVD drives. It used work fine, but I have no idea when it started doing this.

When I boot in Leopard (I am using dual boot), it finds my drives fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Are you using sata DVD drives? Well you need a driver that only allows 3GB ram and allows dvd read only i think maybe thats just the apple nforce one, but also have you tried turning ahci on in the bios?

I am not using SATA DVD drives, both are SONY DVD-RW. It is IDE and it works fine in Leopard (10.5) and it worked with 10.6 also, but it doesn't get detected. I did not change anything in BIOS.

I reinstalled jmicron, ATA related kexts, but no success....

Your ide is built into your amd chipset, try the kext mentioned on this page.

Finally! It worked with file from the link you provided. Thanks! :D
