Darwin 8.6 source. Isnt it possible?

Hi!

 

All the Hackintoshs now are running Darwin 8.4.1, but the source for 8.6 (Mac OS 10.4.6) is avalibe?

So I don't unterstand mutch from coding, but wouldnt it possible to build a new 8.6 kernel from the sources for the Hackintosh's?

The source tree has branched into x86 source and ppc source. The vital sources (boot, kernel, frameworks, vital kexts, etc) are only in the PPC tree. To my mind, it would require a feat of reverse-engineering to make all of the sources compliant with 10.4.3 (the last unified source, IIRC). But I could be wrong =]

 

EDIT: Since the x86 darwin source doesnt include kernel source, there really isnt much point.
