Best method to migrate hackintosh to Macbook Pro?

Well I picked up a 17" Macbook Pro today, my current system is a kakewalk i7 build. Uses retail OS X install and only 2 kexts..

I've got a recent time machine back-up of the Hackintosh on a 500GB usb 2.0 external drive.

So what's the best method to get everything to the MBP without transferring my funky Hackintosh settings?

I would think that using a Time Machine backup with the migration tool would not really cause any problems. For safety if you get a file list of the things in the Extensions folder before and after migration, you could watch for any weirdness in transferred files. The Migration Assistant has some controls for which files you transfer. This issue is not really unique to Hackintoshes- I found some quite old extensions from ppc days that were being moved to my new iMac.

That should not be an issue as these are in the E/E folder and only read by the Chameleon bootloader, which does not exist on the MacBook. You can simply delete them if they get transferred to your MacBook by the Migration Assistant.
