HP 6510b HALF SCREEN ISSUE

hey guys,

 

recently got a HP 6510b laptop with the following specs:

INTEL CORE 2 DUO T7250 @ 2.00 GHz

CHIPSET: INTEL GM965

SOUTHBRIDGE: INTEL 82801HBM (ICH8-ME)

 

now i managed to install iDeneb 10.5.5 succesfully, however on first boot, half the screen shows the Mac OS X intro video and the other half is blank (just black).

 

not sure what to do, i did not install any graphic drivers the 2nd time, however i did the first time. both attemps ended with the same result.

 

im out of ideas..

 

help would be MUCH appreciated !

EDIT: I tried to install SnowOSX3.6, and when it began to boot, the half screen issue appeared. im starting to think it's the laptop (maybe BIOS?) rather than bad installation/bad kexts.
