This Kext worked for me on my Toshiba L505-S5971

Dual-boot WIn7 and Snow 10.6.4.

Intel Core 2 Duo T6400

Intel Mobile 4 Chipset Express Graphics

4GB Ram

250GB HDD

15.6 HDTruebrite Display

Vanilla Kernel

"Deviato's boot file" gives native resolution for Graphics. Replace your current boot file with His.

Just delete all other AppleHDA, HDA Enabler and VoodooHDA kexts and install with kexthelper.

HDAEnabler is ALREADY INSIDE the kext.

Even if you upgrade, and your Audio is broken, reinstall this kext to restore Audio again.

Credit to Deviato for boot file>

Can't remember who posted the kext..but thanks all the same.

just a question:

i'd love to try it but the one with his laptop not booting anymore scares me a litte (although i don't know why he doesn't burn a ubuntu live cd and then rescues all of his data at least, because the files pretty sure are not damaged i guess)...

i got audio out (via chinch and via the notebook's own boxes (satellite a500-1du)) working with VoodooHDA, but not the mic which is pretty bad because i'd love to play around with garageband. audio is realtek alc272 as well, so did you get your mic working with the above kext?

thanks in advance. :D

I got my line-in to work and mic/line switching. Of course like any sensible person you would back up your data first (if you want to).

If you have dual-boot, macdrive application is a fantastic tool to have...so you can acces your

mac partition from windows. The AppleHDA kext worked perfectly for me. And Deviato's boot file also.
