Basically The Specs I am Looking At Are As Follows

Cpu

980x 1389

CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12P SE2 109 0r combined

$1419

or AMD Maybe 1090T 345

Could Change 980X as Well Though Was hoping for 6 core prefer not to OC if Not Required again if i need to i would do so i believe

Graphics

Ideally 2

Gtx 480 Depending on model / Manufacter

Priced Like So 659/599/659 difference on 1 card had SC in Model

or for About the Sam Price 5876 ATI (599) or 5970 at (779)

Mobo

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 (rev. 1.0) 289

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0) 269

GA-X58A-UD5 (rev. 2.0) (supporting Socket 1366/sata 3/CF & SLi) 375

Intel i7 Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 (rev. 1.0) 439

Intel i7 Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9 (rev. 1.0) 649

Intel i7 EVGA X58 SLI Classified 141-BL-E760-A1 (supporting Socket 1366/SLi) 569

Intel i7 EVGA X58 Classified 4 Way SLI 170-BL-E762-A1 (supporting Socket 1366/4way SLi) 669

Else other Board Something like

The SR-2 with 6 Core something like X5850/60 probably thiugh that would cost $ 900 for the SR-2 and 1200+ for the single Processor and The Rest of The specs The Same for My Needs how would it compare price wise seems similar

PSU

Coolermaster Silent Pro Rs-A00-80Ga-D3 1000W if right is 299

Certifications SLI / CrossFire / 80 Plus Gold

Though if better products and Prices Elsewhere Please Include

Ram

Not 100% on Ram But Here re the list of ram choices i think work fine

Assuming Triple Channel Though Would Hopefully > 6gb if cheap enough though if i get better performance from more ram in dual channel that is an option

Desktop DDR3 Ram 6GB Tri-Kit (3x2048MB) PC10666 1333MHz Patriot PSD36G1333KH 9-9-9-24 (i7 ready) 195

or

A few other choices

IT Estate Pricing As they Are Local

If so would 2000 mhz ram more or less make a difference on these boards

Storage

As i Have a Raid 5-0 Nas With 5TB Free

I was thinking of maybe a tri 2 TB Raid 5-0 Setup depending on price or a at least 1 2tb drive or a few 1tbs in a raid

I think That storage space with decent spped 7200rpm drives seem okay is A

Expecting between 149 - 200 Per Drive

ODD

At Least 1 BluRay Drive Fastest Avaliable So pioneer 12x 169 for Oem or 199 Retail thinking fast DVD Drive Maybe As Well so 240 to Spend There MAX

something Like The Pioneer 218 or so again i have external drive 1 drive may do

Case

Basically A Tool Less Design with Hot Swap Drive Bays for Cooling Purposes A Large Case would Be Wise again if good custom cases etc are avaliable then maybe those as well price being the factor

Examples I Like

Gaming Case Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition - VM400M1W2Z (USB 3.0 Connector) no PSU 139

Full Tower CoolerMaster HAF RC-942 (no PSU/ready for Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9) Black 239

Basically A Large Tower That Looks Decent and Resonably Prices Though I reckon Max 400 unless awesome

Additionals

Firewire 800

I know that 1394a is onboard tough a 1394b card is preferred

Again I want to run OSX on this easily so if you know about the parts for this and the compatibility then i would be greatful i know the processor is fine the ram would need to be less than 4gb at the start from memory

Again Aiming to be Cheaper Than Mac Pro

Extra

Monitor

More tHan likely 3D monitor Though Could Settle For 24-27 inch Dell

or Run off TV 55inch 1080p Non 3D though VGA/HDMI then buy screen

Looking At

2223 ( i think) Though Any of THe #D Screens Would Do Prefer as Close to 24 inch and 120hz #D if Possible For the best Experience though any is fine

Hopefully < 1000 for Screen

Dell 27 inch 999 unless factory outlet,Alienware,Samsung<Acer Etc and some benchmarks would be good ideally 3d bluray and gaming also monitor to have inputs for Hdmi ETC is a plus

Machine Purpose

The Machine Will have Many Roles

Such As Gaming

Video Editing

Encoding

Movie Playback Etc

Virtualisation

Again Basically Any Suggestions or Options i may have missed

and How does the installer work as far as i know the newer method is the bootdisks and retail DVD does this work for all these boards etc

Equally i would Like to have it Support 10.4,10.5 etc

as well as vista/win7 and maybe xp and linux if it is possible

again i could be wrong about my thoughts ideally the most important systems are 10.6 and win 7

I am aiming for performance as good if not better than the current mac pro 6 core

Thanks for your help it is much appreciated
