Internal and External USB CD/DVD Drive not showing up in finder 10.6.4

I need help please. I have successfully installed 10.6 on a Lenovo T61 and upgraded to 10.6.4. One issue. I am happy with everything, it all works brill except my external DVD writer and internal Combo are not showing up. They both appear in the system profiler but pop in a disc and nada. They worked fine on 10.5.8 but not Snow Leopard. I think it is something to do with IOATA Kext but I would be very grateful for some clarification.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
