I got my PC working with iAtkos S3 10.6.3 release:

  • ASUS P5KC
  • Intel QX6850 (QuadCore 3GHz)
  • 4 Gb mem (2x2 DDR2)
  • nVidia 8800GTS - dual dvi 2560x1600x32
  • IDE DVD drive (wow, 1st snow distro that recognized my old ide DVD)
  • 1TB sata Toshiba drive
  • firewire (works)

Conclusion: iAtkos S3 v2 works OOB using customize wizard, no post install hacks needed, all done via iAtkos installer and customize button!

BIOS:

enable AHCI

disable CPU speedstep

set 1st boot DVD rom to run install and then after install back to disk again

Customized settings:

bootloader (default 1st one)

Important IDE ATA for P5Kc:

Intel/ATA => I think this one, legacy IDE drivers - did the trick to boot all the way to desktop, otherwise it will hang in grey screen

JMicron

Network: AttansicL1

Video: nvenabler

Audio: disabled => I use RME via firewire (works)

Purpose: Audio/MIDI: so now installing RME FireFace800 drivers: multichannel audio works! Ready to go!

Thanks & Respect to uphuck & iAtkos team!

(I wanted to reply on p5kc problem topic, but can not post as newbe..., hope this helps to all fellows with P5KC problems)
