horsechick1523
I'm new to all this apple stuff and I just yesterday installed ideneb Mac os X snow leopard 10.5.7 and it was all working good, but I don't have a internet connection, and I can't install i movie since it says "Imovie requires a graphics card that is compatible with Quartz Extreme. One or more graphics cards does not support Quartz Extreme" And the same thing goes when i try and install Final Cut Pro 7. So what do i need to do to make all this all work. I am using my laptop Dell Inspiron 1440. It has a Intel Dual Core Processor T4400, 4GB of memory, 320 GB hard drive, Dell Wireless 1397 card, Intel x4500 Graphics card, and IDT audio. It also comes with a webcam but that also doesn't work. And then my menus are not like staying in place but are like going down in a line and keeps doing that. Please I need your help. Anything would be greatly appiericated Thanks again. Also my keyboard isn't working at all when I press a key, and nothing types in =( and idk how to fix that either. crapman
I hope this helps: I just finished a dual boot installation on a dell 1440 using macyourpc.com's BootSLv3.iso. I followed most of the guide there, but to boot the Snow Leopard installer I had to add the commands -v cpus=1 busratio=20. I installed the latest kexts from voodoo, both for audio and wifi, and the battery. I have a working 10.6 with 1440 x 900 video resolution, udio, wifi, and battery working. The sleep still doesn't work, the audio volume still doesn't work, and i can't change resolutions or activate Quartz. I'm planning to solve both audio and sleep problems, but have not much hope for the video, as I have read that the video card is not supported. We will see. regards Crapman I'm new to all this apple stuff and I just yesterday installed ideneb Mac os X snow leopard 10.5.7 and it was all working good, but I don't have a internet connection, and I can't install i movie since it says "Imovie requires a graphics card that is compatible with Quartz Extreme.
