I am completely new to attempting to make a hackintosh, so I apologize in advance if anything I say is silly.

I am attempting to install iatkos s3 V2 on my dell inspiron 1720 with the following:

intel core 2 duo T7300 2.00

Dell Wireless 1390

Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller

GeForce 8600m GT

When I boot my iatkos image(from a flash drive) using a lot of different options I get the Kernel Panic in the images below. Any help?

/mach_qoopz -v

if not work you will need to setup retail :(

I tried both those flags and the same panic came up =[ I have however noticed that right before the panic, in verbose mode it says something to the effect of "no smbios replacement found". Could that have something to do with it?

no this is normal

you will need to follow retail guide of me :D

If you still have the iATKOS image, you could delete the ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext from the image.

How would I go about doing that? I couldn't find it just navigating through finder or navigating through the folder in terminal.

Its in /Extra/Extensions/ or /Extra/Extensions.mkext or /System/Library/Extensions/

No go finding it there with hfsexplorer, which sees .mkext as a file rather than a directory, so ill check it out with terminal and finder in a second.

If I delete that it'll take longer to load but no other issues? I couldn't find the kext in finder or through terminal, and I'm thinking about trying iatkos v7 and seeing if that works.

ideneb v1.6 is good

but i perfere that you set up snow leopard

I tried deleting extensions.mkext and ended up at the screen attached, but I can't tell if it's doing anything or not.

I'll look into ideneb, will that let me dual boot?

why you dont do i told you

you will need to setup retail to put on it what you need of kexts if you want to get it pass ;)

iatkos v7 got past it! its now installing, hopefully it works and ill be able to use it until I get a hold of snow leopard. Ill post if its successful and if its not..ill see you then. Thanks all =]

this is because 10.5.x dont have rtc.

kexts :)

So I've successfully gotten osx to boot using iatkos v7, it corrupted my windows 7 partition but I've now gotten that to work, so I'm dual booting osx and windows 7! =] The touchpad and keyboard don't work in osx even though I had set the options for the ps2keyboard/mouse. Hopefully I can get that working.
