RobMorin
I have been running OS X now on my PC for awhile, but its time to switch back to windows as i will be buying a macbook. However, after changing my bios back to standard setup, i am able to boot into windows 7 setup, but when partitioning my HDD i keep getting 0x8007045d, now im thinking its to do with either i was using ACHI when i was running OS X, something to do with the MBR on the drive, either way i can't write to it, even using ultimate boot disc i cant change it back. any idea's? CursedHax
Try booting from the Ubuntu live CD, open a terminal and type: sudo gparted In Gparted, just erase your entire harddrive (format as FAT32 or Ext3). Remember to select your HARDDRIVE, NOT one of the partitions! This should create a new partition table. After that, try installing Windows again. Let me know if it helps!
