Core Audio Driver problem

I'm trying to use the audio editing program Bias Peak (LE 5.02) and when I launch it I get the following error:

 

"Peak was unable to initialize the Core Audio driver because the driver returned an error"

 

I have no idea what to do about this as from what I've read, this driver is part of the Mac OS and not a third party driver. I hope that someone can help
