fitzy89
Hi Guys So here's my situation, I'm quite a new user of OSX (but an expert with Windows) and so far I am loving it and seriously considering using it as my main OS I've had a few problems along the way, but I think I have pretty much got everything working on my Samsung R700 laptop. I would however like to update to version 10.5.8 so I can use the new iLife 09. My first attempt of this failed (and totally borked my installation) so I've been doing a bit of reading around the web on how to update and I've read allsorts about downloading new kernels and symlinks and other things which I really don't understand. I am using Leo4All v2, would someone be able to write me a quick guide on how to update from my current 10.5.2 to 10.5.8? When I tried last time I just installed it using Apple Software Update but the install hanged and when I rebooted the laptop I just got a kernel panic so I'm not quite sure what I need to do. I appreciate any help you can give me. I'm pretty good with most things windows and I have some Linux experience if that would help at all. I really need just a list of what I should download and how to do the update. Many thanks
