Hey everybody, I'm new in this OSx86 world.

I have problems installing OSx86 in my PC. After inserting my Hazard 1.6.2 disc, my PC recognizes it, but when I try to start the install with the flags -v, -f, cpus=1 and arch=i386, it reboots.

This is my PC:

Pentium 4 @ 1.8GHz (SSE2), 1024MB RAM (DDR), nVidia GeForce FX5200 (AGP), HDD IDE, motherboard Intel 845G.

I tried to install iDeneb 1.3 and iPC 1.5.6 before and they don't boot properly, resulting in a freeze.

I already know that a single core processor is not very friendly with Mac OS X, but I saw some videos on YouTube that shows Pentium 4's running Snow Leopard.

I want to know which distribution fits for my PC and the appropiate kexts for the install. Please help me.

Hello mate. I have the exactly same problem ass you. I'm trying to boot a Retail disk of Snow Leopard, but it keeps on Reebooting while loading files... But no onw in here seems to be able to ansver why, or how we should get around this bug. I have a similar thread running down the bottom. You could maybe look into the answers i've had :-) I will return if i find out how :-) I think i will make a guide if i can make it work. Because i have seen til failure alot of places on the net, but not asingle answer to the problem ANYWHERE! Good luck to you my friend :-)

Thanks pal! I hope we can get more answers, I don't know why Snow Leopard install is not running in my case. About yours, maybe you need an EFI for your PC for able Snow Leopard retail to boot.

Maybe you're right. But i'm not familiar with all the expressions yet. What is an EFI exactly? Doesn't i come with the Chameleon Bootloader or the myHack tool?

What I understand as EFI, is a bootloader for retail versions of Mac on normal PC's.

Actually I'll try with Leo4all distribution, if I get good results, I will tell you.

I was wondering if you had tried the Leo4All yet?

Another thing that i saw, was on www.kexts.com . There is a kernel made for those trying to run a P4 og AMD processor. So i thought that kinda sound like the two of us :-D Maybe that was worth trying?
