boot problem acer aspire 5738g

hello ,

i recently installed iatkos v7 on my acer aspire 5738g , every thing went well thanks to masri01

for the nice guide in this thread :

and i find most of my drivers , except the cd room driver having some issues , sometimes it works sometimes its not , if any one can help with that i will be very thankful

 

but my major problem is with booting , sometime i had to boot 3 times maybe more to get into the OS , and sometimes i have kernel panic , i did like what had been said :

 

create a file "com.apple.Boot.plist" under /Extra folder and paste the following contents into it

 

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

<plist version="1.0">

<dict>

<key>USBBusFix</key>

<string>Yes</string>

</dict>

</plist>

 

but im still not sure if this correct the booting error , what i did is i went to the os dirver and i opened chameleon folder and i find extra folder there then i added the plist file there, this is the only place i could find extra folder ? , if there another place , please tell me , im very new mac os user , but i'm really trying so hard .

SOLVED

 

i went to this directory :

 

/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.boot.plist

 

and i edited the file , first it didnt lowed me to edited , so i toke a copy to desktop , edited , and bring it back to same directory .

 

now everything is ok
