Redhoodzy
Hi, need some help with this one, its a bit tricky. I have installed Mac OSx Snow Leopard and updated it to 10.6.4. (update has nothing to do with the problem) So i have disconnected all drives except the MacOSx drive which is called "disk0s2". My "disk0s2" has a jumper so its set as MASTER I have latest "myHack 1.1" installed. When i boot up i am getting "Still waiting for root device" even though I have entered in "com.apple.boot.plist " and modified so it looks like the following below: <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>rd=disk0s2</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>10</string> Still getting the same error. I also have tested some different thing in BIOS which not was necessary when I installed at all so dont see the importans in it, i tested it and get the same error. If you are talking about your nForce 650i chipset MOBO system, then you have to use AppleNForceATA.kext in /Extra/Extensions/ but you need to then boot in 32bit mode by including arch=i386 under Kernel Flags in your com.apple.Boot.plist.......... Redhoodzy
Yes thats it. I have now added the "AppleNForceATA.kext" in "/Extra/Extensions/" Now my com.apple.Boot.plist looks like this: <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>rd=disk0s2</string> <string>arch=i386</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>10</string> Still getting the error. What bothers me is that this happens after I have installed and does not work until i reboot with my empireEFI BootCD. I can not just guess the around, will end with that I may do a reinstall, but what does that help me the problem i still there. So please help me, if none of what you have written works then there must be another solution. Thanks // Hate to bump.
