FlyBriz
Hey there - I did a bad, bad thing. I was testing the ability to use a Bluetooth headset on my MacBook Pro - The internal Apple Bluetooth Radio did not work so I tried a DLink USB Bluetooth dongle. I did get that to work but in doing so deleted my internal Apple Bluetooth Enumerator and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator from the device manager. I want to go back to using it but I can't figure out how to re-add it. I've tried rerunning the Boot Camp driver exe, running Add Hardware wizard, brute force... no worky. Any ideas? Thanks so much for the assistance! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22670-boot-camp-apple-bluetooth-deleted/ Share on other sites
FlyBriz
Okay, after much gnashing of teeth I was able to fix it: 1. Uninstall Macintosh Drivers for XP 2. Open a command prompt and type the following: set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 3. Run device manager and select "Show Hidden Devices" 4. Delete EVERYTHING that references Bluetooth (even HID devices) 5. Re-run the Macintosh Drivers for XP 6. Reboot 7. Happy dance.
