HD2600 mobility resolution on Snow Leopard

Hi guys,

 

I recently installed Snow Leopard on my HP 8510p, and so far I've got everything working except for the graphics. I've read up about it and there doesn't seem to be a way to get QE/CI working which doesn't really worry me, however I have read a few posts where people have claimed to get native resolutions working. I've tried the following guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=196220 which is made for Leopard and everytime I try it I get a logon loop (logon screen --> blue desktop screen --> logon screen).

 

So does anyone know how to get the above guide working in Snow Leopard or any other way to get native res working?
