Lump10
I thought I was fairly good with computers until all of this {censored}. I have a dell inspiron 1525, which is supposedly the best candidate for osx86..Well id hate to see a bad candidate.. I finally got it to work via I pc . Here is the tutorial I followed.. http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/09/how-to-...iron-1525-1515/ To make a long story short, I installed iPC 10.5.6 ISO and used the following customize options before install.. Chipset Drivers >> Intel ICHx SATA Drivers Wireless Driver >> Broadcom Driver USB Drivers >> Patched USB Driver Power Management >> Clamshell Display Support Fixes and Patches >> USB Mount Fix PS/2 Device Support >> PS/2 Keyboard Fix DSDT Patches >> Patch DSDT AppleSMBIOS Patch >> AppleSMBIOS-27 Rev6 MacBook Everything goes great..Better than great..Until the Combo Update. When I run the combo update, The computer restarts like everything is cool, but then on the boot up apple screen, it has the circle (loading) icon endlessly.. I have to manually resart.. When I do this, it has the cricle icon for a moment then goes to panic mode ( please hold down the power button blabla) I wiped out twice and reinstalled and the same thing happened once I tried to update... I am so close! This is the farthest I have gotten with osx86 and will NOT give up now! I have searched google and this forum many many times with no luck..Please help me get my osx86 wrapped up before I get physical!! Plzz
