whiteponzler Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I know its a bit late, but: My DVD drive stopped working since i updated from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3. The drive itself is an older Pioneer DVD burner with IDE (no S-ATA). Before the update everything worked fine, now the drive isnt even recognized in systemprofiler. Mine was AppleATIATA.kext from Kexts.com, and after I downloaded and installed it, everything worked. Let me know if you have questions. Mine was AppleATIATA.kext from Kexts.com, and after I downloaded and installed it, everything worked. Let me know if you have questions. Here is the LINK: AppleATIATA Kext Download i have the same problem. my motherboard is GIGABYTE ep43-us3l, with JMicron368 SATA controller. i can't find any infomation about the pata controller. any ideas?
