I know its a bit late, but:

My DVD drive stopped working since i updated from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3. The drive itself is an older Pioneer DVD burner with IDE (no S-ATA).

Before the update everything worked fine, now the drive isnt even recognized in systemprofiler.

Maybe anoyne could help me to get that thing working again.

Thanks in advance guys.

ps:sorry for my bad english :)

First, make sure you have the right kext for your IDE drivers. Mine was AppleATIATA.kext from Kexts.com, and after I downloaded and installed it, everything worked. Let me know if you have questions.
