It could mean you need some deodorant. But what it really means is that the system can't find your system file because you didn't make your Mac partition "active". Any partition software can do this or fdisk.

If you had followed a good installation guide, you wouldn't have had this problem:

There are lots of other guides in the wiki and in the forum. Find one you like and follow it to ensure no problems.

Even following the guide I referenced, if you ignore the Windows part and substitute Acronis or Partition Magic to make the disk active, the guide still gives you the valuable steps to follow for a successful install. Sort of like a checklist - follow the process and use the tools you have available.

Okay, maybe it's not all fixed. I still get the B0 error. I followed your small guide to get it working too Rammjet.

Boot using the install DVD and use terminal to use fdisk to set the partition active. Or find a bootable Windows or Linux Utilites CD/DVD and use the partitioning software to set the partition active.

From another thread on using fdisk:

- boot on DVD, open terminal

- execute diskutil -list and keepnote of your HDD, mine is disk0, the mac os partition is diskos1 on my computer

- execute fdisk on your disk

+ fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 <-- use your disk number and note the added "r"

+ p (display partition)

+ f 1 (will flag the partition 1 as active) <-- use your partition number

+ write

- reboot and it should be ok.

I get it until write. When under write, it saids "device could not be accessed exclusivly" then "a reboot will be needed to change affects.Ok? [n]" I type y for yes, seeing that n is probably no.Then, enter and "mrb unchanged" comes up. How can I fix this?

Okay, problem solved. Sorry for the double post. But, just want to make sure everything is working, so if anything happens again, Rammjet, I will ask it from you.=]

By the way, nice Radeon.

Hey first post and I was too getting the b0 error I did the fdisk trick and now no b0 error but when I try to boot with -v I see txt scrolling way too fast then a blank screen and my comp restarts, after making the partition active do I need to reinstall osx 10.4.6?

System specs:

Intel p4 2.8ht 1Mb/L2 (prescott) SSE2

Msi 865pe Neo2 skt 478

1gb Kingston HyperX DDR434

40Gb WD400 hd

Ati X800Xt AIW

If I can get this running OS X 10.4.6 I will Change my P4 2.8 SSE2, P4 2.4 SSE2 and my Amd 64 X2 4200+ SSE3 to mac, The only reason I use windows is to game so bootcamp should assist with me converting entrely to mac osx. If i can get my test rig up.
