Hello everyone...

I installed snow leopard 10.6.3 from original Mac OS X install DVD using EmpireEFI boot cd and then installed myHack 1.1 bootloader and updated successfully to 10.6.4

Notebook basic hardware is

CPU Intel Core 2 duo T5600

2GB DDR2 667Mhz (2x1gb)

Intel SATA SSD  SSDSA2MH080G1GN 80GB

Broadcom LAN

Geforce Go7600

Acer OrbiCam (Logitech)

Lan worked with AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext

Audio worked with VoodooHDA.kext

Keyboard and Touchpad worked with VoodooPS2Controller.kext

For wifi I am using a Getnet 150N USB Adapter with native Mac Getnet drivers (http://getnet.com.tw/products_GN-531U.html) i will uograde to a MiniPCI compatible adapter

VGA worked with NVEnabler_64.kext

still no webcam

The problem that i haven't solved yet is the CPU that is not recognized as a 1,86GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo but as 1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Can anyone help me how to solve this issue???? Thank you.

Hi I know im replying to quite an old post - but I was wondering if you have managed to get the PCMCIA and ExpressCard adapters to both work on your aspire 5680 ? - I just bought one of these notebooks secondhand and have hackintoshed it and managed to get everything working except for the above two things ( and wifi - but i have the intel minipci card and i know that won't ever work - will replace it with a broadcom card when i can). I have a plan to get them to work but I don't know how successful it would be - using the modified iopcifamily.kext, iopcmcia.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext which I have used successfully in my other hackbook (Acer 3680 which only has the PCMCIA slot and no expresscard slot, which is currently running OS X 10.6.6)

Kind regards

Troy

As for the CPU recognising issue - I used the leohazard snow leopard distro to install snow leopard on my notebook - which picked up my cpu information correctly.
