Dual Boot Vista With Snow Leopard

Hey all, I am new to the forums. I figured I would give the Hackintosh a crack on my current hardware before purchasing OOB compatible desktop hardware.

My current setup.

DStudio XPS 1645

Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 720QM (1.60Ghz, 6MB cache)

PM55 Chipset

Black Leather back cover : 15.6" (inch) Truelife 1080p Full HD WLED Edge to Edge Display

8192MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x4096]

500GB (7,200rpm)

9-cell 85Whr Lithium Ion battery

DVD +/- RW Drive

1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4670 graphics card

Dell Wireless 1397 Mini Card (802.11 b/g)

Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Module

Backlit Keyboard

2MP Integrated Camera

I currently have Vista Home Premium 64bit installed, i'm hoping to successfully install OSX10.63 without starting from scratch

Step 1: I created a new unformatted partition in windows totaling the size of 80GB

Step 2: Booted Into the DarwinX86 bootload which nicely came included in my iso of iAktos.

Step 3: Using Disk Utility I formated the newly created partition, to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

Step 4: Installed OSX

Step 5: Rebooted machine..

Step 6: {censored}!

No operating system will boot, all I get is the Dell Hardware Utilities Screen.

I load up my Windows Vista Install CD, go into the repair wizard, and activate the windows partition.

I still cannot get the computer to boot.

So I repeated steps 1->6, formating the mac osx drive, hoping that would fix the issue.

Nope it did not. Now is when I was wishing I would have strictly followed a walk-through.

Does anyone know how to re-activate partitions in MacOSX Install from Terminal?

If so that would be greatly appreciated.
