jboehm Posted July 18, 2010 Share Posted July 18, 2010 Hi, Anybody seen this problem before? I have an LG SATA DVD Writer. Is a year or 2 old. I is recognized under Snow Leopard and function perfectly when idle. Burns a disk just fine. Even works for reading disk as long as I don't let it sit idle with a disk mounted. However if I insert a disk and let it site idle for a length of time the drive becomes completely unresponsive and I have to shutdown and boot back up to do anything with it. I suspect the drive is somehow incompatible but was wondering if this is a common issue. This is the second build this has occurred on (same drive). Any ideas?
