Hello,

As it's clear from the title, I have got the Asus from best buy and the processor it has doesn't support visualization. so does that mean there is no way to install mac os on it?

I have already got ubuntu running on the VirtualBox but when I tried to install

iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5

or

iATKOS_v7.x86

I had no luck :(

I tried doing

cpus=1

cpus=2

cpus=1 -x

cpus=2 -x

the best I got was the gray screen with Apple logo and it never go any ware

so am I missing one type of trick that could help or what's wrong?

thanks a lot.

To be honest, I tried installing Mac in VMWare and wasn't able to do because of the lack of hardware virtualization. The interesting part, however, is that the flags are enabled in the processor (P7350 in mine) but it's the BIOS that doesn't support it. I have been unsuccessful in findings ways to hack the BIOS and considering I'm simply running Snow Leopard off a USB drive, I just boot into it when I need to use the MacOS.

I found this thread (and added my own success story/method) in case you're interested: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=177855
