aquanutz
No. You need a patched dvd to get it to work with your processor and everything else that isn't mac specific hardware. MRpatTHEmacBoy
So can you patch the MacBook DVD to work, or would I have to use my MacBook to install on an external hard drive to get it to work with my PC? holymans
MrPat, No, you have to obtain the patched image from the web. Look through the forums to see how to go about it. Although there is a patcher for 10.4.4 (my original Tiger disk came with this version) but I found it did not work. NeSuKuN
would it be possible to install with the original dvd and before it reboots, get the patched files (not the entire iso) and overwrite the installed ones? holymans
You won't be able to boot from the original disk to install the OS X, as the kernel is not patched..to allow booting/installation ->So NO.
