en2ec
I have a Gateway LX6810 that I want to salvage everything from except for the motherboard to build a hackintosh. Given the parts that I have to work with, what's the most compatible motherboard that I can buy for a retail OS X install? Core 2 Quad CPU (Q8200) 8 GB DDR2 RAM Nvidia GT120 (I know it isn't much, but this computer will be an HTPC, and it has HDMI and can handle full HD no problem) 640 GB HD A new 550 Watt power supply that I added recently I'm going to put it all in a new case, probably an Antec 300. But if I end up with an mATX board, I might go with a more traditional HTPC style case. Any recommendations on a motherboard that would provide the least hassle installing OS X and would allow me to send audio through the Nvidia GT120 HDMI out?
