I'm running a Dell Latitude D610 with Mac OS X 10.5.7.

I tried using the driver included with the iATKOS V7 Installation disc

and it made my HDD Crash and I had to reinstall.

I need it because I do alot of recording but my laptop doesn't have

a firewire port to plug in the controller, so I need the PCI Buscard.

Please, can someone help me out.

that dell model is not ideal to be recording bands on. i'm pretty sure you will experience latency problems as well as low # of simultaneous track record. i tried to setup logic pro on my friends D610 and he could barely record 2 tracks at a time. he ended up selling it for $200 and bought an OSX compatible desktop motherboard.

if audio recording is of importance to you, should seriously consider going desktop with Core 2 series or Core i5/i7 series and forget about all the headaches that come with incompatible hardware
