BrittD
I'm running a Dell Latitude D610 with Mac OS X 10.5.7. I tried using the driver included with the iATKOS V7 Installation disc and it made my HDD Crash and I had to reinstall. I need it because I do alot of recording but my laptop doesn't have a firewire port to plug in the controller, so I need the PCI Buscard. Please, can someone help me out. BrittD
Sorry to bump, but I really need a working driver. I have tried every one I have found and none work. I have the band coming over sometime this week to record but I have no computer with a working Firewire or PCI Buscard to plug the interface into. muchlife
i dont think a driver exists for you, sorry. every so often people ask and i've never seen a reply with hope http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4484 that dell model is not ideal to be recording bands on. i'm pretty sure you will experience latency problems as well as low # of simultaneous track record. i tried to setup logic pro on my friends D610 and he could barely record 2 tracks at a time. he ended up selling it for $200 and bought an OSX compatible desktop motherboard. if audio recording is of importance to you, should seriously consider going desktop with Core 2 series or Core i5/i7 series and forget about all the headaches that come with incompatible hardware Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/225100-firewire-pci-buscard-driver/#findComment-1522523 Share on other sites
