OMG Finally got it working it's funny cuz i was browsing thru here and saw a thread with usb and iphone read it and this person in general was having the exact same problem as me (system profiler sees it but mac won't read it) so i did what he said do and installed the iousbfamilykext from the thread. my kx was half way working (was recognized but didn't want to send any midi data to my computer) and it took my wireless tenda adapter away than i thought hey didn't ##### come with usb drivers, i thinking (already installed them but if they're newer how come my kx49 got picked up on the older drivers) so i went into the system/extra/extensions folder and dragged the iousbfamily kext mod 9.9.9 into the kext utility after that i ran disk utility and repaired permissions. it when i clicked restart i got a dreaded kernel panic. but once i booted backup wireless is back on and my kx49 is running beautifully. wow that was a lot of typing
