So, After many days of trying to get iAtkos S to boot on my setup (Specs below), I finally managed to get it to boot from the DVD....Turns out I had to use mach_modbin to boot, As its the only kernel that does not instantly reset my computer.

My problem is, Now, That, No matter how many times I redownload and burn it, No matter what speed I burn it at, At EXACTLY THE SAME POINT during installation, It freezes...COMPLETELY locks up my computer - No mouse response, No nothing. So I opened up the installer log before it locked up again and its locking up at the point where it says "BEGIN INSTALL" - 13 minutes remaining.

Any clue as to where I'm going wrong? Perhaps the place where I'm getting the iso from has a corrupted upload?

On another note, Given that I have to use mach_modbin to boot the DVD, I made the assumption that I would, Assuming the install went off without a hitch, Need mach_modbin to boot, However, The kernel does not come as an installable package. How would I go about sourcing said kernel and installing it, If I can't boot into OSX, Again, Assuming a completed, Successful install?

Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3R rev1.0 motherboard

Intel Core i5 750 CPU

Dual Hitachi Deskstar 2.5inch HDD in RAID0

Okay, So, I managed to get it to install...Turns out I was correct in the assumption that there are, Indeed, Bogus and/or corrupt copies floating around in cyberspace.

Anywho, I now only have one problem to solve and that is the issue of the kernel.

Where can I get a hold of the modbin kernel used on the iatkos S disc (the kernel used when typing "mach_modbin" at the bootloader, When booting from the DVD)...I believe its modbin 10.0.0 kernel...Correct me if I'm wrong, Of course and how do I go about installing it? (I realise that using MediaFour's MacDrive or TransMac is going to be necessary for this step)

I haven't yet attempted to use the modbin test7 kernel, But only because I couldnt find ANY information as to whether or not its useable with an intel cpu, Let alone an i5 750.

This kernel issue is the ONLY thing standing in the way of a successful install and boot!!

A prompt answer would be immensely appreciated.

With the mother board you have I believe that the vanilla Kernel should work in your case. You also have an old version of aitkos, Try aitkos s3 v2.

Or Follow the instructions for your hardware here:
