hey guys

 

im new to hackintosh, but im trying so if you could help me out i would appreciate it (before i lose all my hair!)

 

im trying to turn my core 2 quad 2.4 into a hackintosh

its got an intel dp965lt mb with 4gb ram and a 500gb sata seagate hdd in it.

 

i followed the instructions on the myhack page

-installed the os onto a flash drive

-ran myhack on the flash drive

 

when i put the flash drive in my pc i see the purple space screen appear, then the apple logo appears for a split second before throwing a kernel panic and telling me to hold the power button in.

 

i loaded IOATAFamily.kext into the extras and ran pfix on the usb drive volume- but this didnt seem to make any difference

 

i have my hdd set to ACHI and everything else unplugged (usb, printers etc) so i am not sure what is making it throw an error

 

i tried to press f8 when the apple logo appears to see what its failing on, but i dont see a list of drivers or anything.. not sure if it is supposed to- read that on a forum post somewhere-

 

it's starting to do my head in so any advice is appreciated-

Looks like you have run into the same issue as me.

Our hardware configure is different too.

i recreated the myhack usb installer WITHOUT ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext on my DP965LT and it went on fine.

 

i dont think we have the same problem
