Hi,

This is my first post. To the best of knowledge, this is the right forum for my issue. If not, please let me know.

Hardware:

MB - Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L (Rev 2); Standard settings, no overclocking of any sort.

CPU - Quad Core 2.66 ghz

Graphics Card - PNY Nvidia 9500 GT 1GB

HD - WD 640gb SATA drive Model # WD6401AALS

Memory - Corsair 4 x 2gb 800

USB Keyboard and mouse

No DVD drive because I have an IDE drive, so I disconnected it. Have ordered a SATA DVD drive.

For installation, I am following blackosx's guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=180954

I created a bootable USB drive from an iMac running 10.6.4.

Have followed the BIOS settings as per the guide.

Midway through the installation, the computer freezes with a message (screenshot attached) asking me to reboot. At this point, nothing works. I am forced to reboot. The saga continues after repeated reboots.

Is this KP (Kernal Panic)?

I have got this message at least 20 times. Disabling Onboard IDE controller (in BIOS) didn't help either.

Please help.

Thank you.
