Holiday
I used this forum to get my to get my OSX86 machine running. Everything works fine when hooked up to a normal monitor (I've tried several different ones), however when I hook it up to my projector, I'm having boot issues or if already booted OS X freezes when projector is connected. Projector is connected via HDMI cable (HDMI connection on projector - DVI to HDMI converter plugged it to video card). I also run Win7 - no issues at all with projector on Win7. It appears not to output any video signal when I boot with projector as the monitor. If I boot with a regular monitor and then try to plug in the project the machine completely freezes My MacBook Pro has no issues with the projector - definitely specific to the OS X installation on this machine Any known issues with projectors? Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/224609-os-x-locks-up-when-benq-pe7700-projector-is-connected/ Share on other sites
Mikka!
Same problem here. I also try to connect PE7700 via HDMI to DVI, with identical symptoms. When I connect the projector to the second DVI port, everything locks up, mouse included. The system seems to work though, since I could remotely see that files that started downloading before the lockup continued to download. When I disconnect the main monitor and connect the projector to the same DVI port, there's no signal on the projector and I cannot go back to the monitor -- the system stops responding. I have two monitors, no problems with a dual monitor setup. The problem occurs every time with nVidia 8800GT and 9800GT. I never had these problems with 8400GS or my macbook. Help! Edit: Seems to be the same problem as described in another thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=234644 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/224609-os-x-locks-up-when-benq-pe7700-projector-is-connected/#findComment-1586730 Share on other sites
