cenar Posted July 9, 2010 Share Posted July 9, 2010 Hi, I am unsure if it is suitable to ask a question like that but I am desperately trying to install OS X on my Acer Aspire L5100 mini-PC but i can't even get the InstallationDVD (Last tried Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2/SSE3 Intel AMD by Leohazard) to boot. Always getting " Waiting for boot volume with UUID..." and then - nothing If anybody has any helpful links or suggestions this would be highly appreciated. Here are the specs of the aspire l5100 CPU: AMD Athlon X2 BE-2400 2,3GHz (Brisbane, Sockel AM2,1000 Mhz FSB, 2x512 kB Cache) Chipset: AMD 690G Chipsatz, AMD SB600 Southbridge ( 1000 Mhz FSB) GPU: onboard ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 HDD: Hitachi DeskStar 7K500 500GB (3,5", 7200 U/m, 8MB Cache, S-ATA) Optical: Pioneer DVD-ROM DVR-K06RS Slot-in DVD ±R/RW/ROM 8x 8x 8x (Slimline) Audio: Realtek ALC888S (HDA) LAN: Realtek RTL8168/8111 10/100/1000 MBit Thanks in advance, Yours Cenar Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have tried to boot a Snow Leopard installation of my external USB-HD where I have added some kexts for SB 600 Southbridge (SB600_SATA_ATA) and included the preboot.dmg and Extensions-folder from a SB600 compatible Empire EFI (found here) in /Extra Now System boots from external HD but hangs after a while. When booting with -v -f i see it hangs after following message: Patched DMI Table Any Hints where to search for the next step in fixing this? Thanks! @Nick14 When you say X1250 isn't supported, does it mean there would be no visible display or just restricted resolution and/or no Quartz etc.?
