Hi,

I am unsure if it is suitable to ask a question like that but I am desperately trying to install OS X on my Acer Aspire L5100 mini-PC but i can't even get the InstallationDVD (Last tried Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2/SSE3 Intel AMD by Leohazard) to boot.

Always getting " Waiting for boot volume with UUID..." and then - nothing

If anybody has any helpful links or suggestions this would be highly appreciated.

Here are the specs of the aspire l5100

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 BE-2400 2,3GHz (Brisbane, Sockel AM2,1000 Mhz FSB, 2x512 kB Cache)

Chipset: AMD 690G Chipsatz, AMD SB600 Southbridge ( 1000 Mhz FSB)

GPU: onboard ATI Radeon Xpress 1250

HDD: Hitachi DeskStar 7K500 500GB (3,5", 7200 U/m, 8MB Cache, S-ATA)

Optical: Pioneer DVD-ROM DVR-K06RS Slot-in DVD ±R/RW/ROM 8x 8x 8x (Slimline)

Audio: Realtek ALC888S (HDA)

LAN: Realtek RTL8168/8111 10/100/1000 MBit

Thanks in advance,

Yours Cenar

Thanks for your reply but I don't think I will give up that soon.

Have tried to boot a Snow Leopard installation of my external USB-HD where I have added some kexts for SB 600 Southbridge (SB600_SATA_ATA)

and included the preboot.dmg and Extensions-folder from a SB600 compatible Empire EFI (found here) in /Extra

Now System boots from external HD but hangs after a while.

When booting with -v -f i see it hangs after following message:

Patched DMI Table

Any Hints where to search for the next step in fixing this?

Thanks!

@Nick14 When you say X1250 isn't supported, does it mean there would be no visible display or just restricted resolution and/or no Quartz etc.?

Greetings Cenar
