my1bluebear
Hello, I installed Kalyway 10.5.2-AMD EFI V2, which uses Darwin /x86. I have MAC OS as the only partition on the drive disk0s1. I have tried the bootloader that is part of osx86tools and they all don't work There are 3 choices with osx86tools, I can't use PC_EFI v8 because my disk is formated MBR and there isn't a separate partition for the EFI, so that choice is out; I tried no-EFI Darwin bootloader and it says "DD unable to be completed"; I tried Chameleon EFI (which I don't think works with AMD CPUs), and it says its successful but when I boot without the DVD, it says "Boot0:done" and hangs. I know how to make the partition active, I've done that. But still no go. I even tried downloading Chameleon -2.0-RC2-r640.pkg and after a reboot it , it just keeps rebooting and rebooting by itself. All I want is to NOT use the DVD bootdisk, how do I do this!!! Specs: Kalyway 10.5.2-AMD EFI V2, I chose 9.22 kernal (ToH I think it was) Abit KN9 motherboard MCP-55 AMD Athlon64 X2 6000+ Nvidia 8800GTX - works perfectly on board sound - used Azalia successully on board LAN - used nForceLAN_0.64.5 successully Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/224260-cant-get-bootloader-onto-hard-drive/ Share on other sites
