deleriumtriggr
I have had so many problems with my setup that im about to give up. now i may be a noob at this, but i know computers, so technical advice is most appreciated! I have tried with iatkos and ideneb and i cannot get past the "searching for root file system" in verbos or a F*** YOU error in the grey/white mac screen. iatkos gave me a kernel error like this i think my real question is what do i need to do to ideneb 1.3 (10.5.5) to get it working on my machine? specs and config are as follows -xfx 750i mobo. (nforce patch was applied already) -seagate 500gb hdd. (sata slot 1) -dvd/cd drive (sata slot 2) -2 gb ram (kingston 667mhz) -intel c2 duo e8400 (3.88ghz [oc'd]) -pny geforce gts 250 performance edition (1024 ram) -thermaltake black widow power supply (for what its worth) what ive tried: iAtkos v7-got me to the white apple screen but immediately restart. (got a little further in safe mode + cpus=1, but not much further) I moved to iDeneb 1.3 because a user on this forum had his working with one patch, the nForce one. Well i patched it and I now have the searching for root device error. do i need to use a different kernel? I just dont know where to go from here and I would appreciate it if someone has gotten this to work on a similar system and how they did it. EVEN IF I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG!!! thanks for the help amazing community! -a guy who thinks that macs are overpriced. and btw, i own 10.5.5. here is a picture. See my Leopard on Series 7 nForce thread and my blog Leopard install guides......... Recommend that you get a PATA (IDE) DVDRW............SATA DVDRW and nForce do not play well together...... SATA HDDs are not a problem provided you have the correct BIOS settings............
