Hi Guys,

I need your help with sound card "Creative X-Fi Extreme Audio", PCIe version bundled with MSI X58 Ecplise SLI.

It is Intel HDA compliant, i know that for sure... Windows 7 was able to use it without any drivers(listed as High Def. Audio)

When I use it with VoodooHDA than there is no LineOut in System Pref., Sound, Output. So I cant get any output.

Some versions of VoodooHDA with pref. panel show me Unknown Device, but its only in VoodooHDAs pref panel, its not listed in sound output.

I have also tried the newest version of VoodooHDA(0.2.62) but that gives me Kernel Panic during the startup :D

(but I think, that the newest version could work... few lines before panic it writes "...Line Out (Green)..." )

Please help :) In the meantime I must use my A2DP Headphones :D

Btw. My GPU is ATI HD5870, it has also Audio chipset. Couldn't this cause troubles?

Even though it didn't work, thanks for your help :) Now I just hope that you have another idea how to solve this O:) : ))

Now I am running the "Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard", which I updated without any problems to 10.6.4

(kernel panic with that new audio kext appeared even after fresh install - that was 10.6.2)

Before Hazard I tried the "iAktos S3", but I was also getting kernel panics with the newest VoodooHDA.

Sorry man i can't do great things for you ,

you can try patch appleHDA , there is many threads about this

EXEMPLE :

patch AppleHDA

for me i'm using snow leopard from retail dvd with ##### method that works better that any other distro
