steftrikia
Hi everybody, I made a HP pavilion slimline s7740 fully working, except wifi, on single boot. System : Ideneb 10.5.8 In the bios, select AHCI for chipset management. Kernel : qoopz Select ICH family drivers (it's an ICH7 based chipset), apple PS/2 drivers (not voodoo PS/2), and NVinject 256 Mo. Do not select processor fixes. Also selected Voodoo HDA for sound. You'll have to install manually alc883.kext to make the input working --> google for it Ethernet is the more problematic : Select intel pro 100/VE AND tulip (others found on the web won't work, don't know why). Then have to add 0x27dc8086 to appleintel8255x info.plist (see tutorials) Then have to add "-f arch=i386" (without quotes) into the kernel flags with nano, in com.apple.Boot.plist (/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration). Restart, you should have your Ethernet cable working (DHCP unstable, manually set stable and fast). Haven't found any solution to make wifi recognized as airport (only ralink utility). Install the 10.5.8 version of seatbelt.kext (google) with kexthelper, and everything is great and stable. Thanks for all your support on this website !
