Anis J
Hey guys I've got a Dell Inspiron 1545 C2D, 4GB Ram and ATI 512MB graphics card. Can't currently remember full specs right now - doh! However, I've got SL 10.6.4 dual booted with Win 7. I can boot up Win 7 with Chameleon no problem but I can only boot SL in Safe Mode Only. When I select the SL partition - it goes to boot up, brings up the apple logo screen and activity indicator BUT after a while it has what i assume is a kernel panic and asks me to turn off and reboot. I don't get that issue when i boot up in safe mode. Any ideas on how I can get it working without going into safe mode? Also, I've installed the Deviato kext and the dsdt.aml in the / but I still can't get any sound. I then moved the dsdt.aml to /Extra and still no sound after reboot. any ideas on what I can do to fix this? That's all I need to get a near perfect OSX86 (except the ATI graphic issues as I believe I can't get the native resolution due to my card being an ATI 4330HD 512MB). Thanks in advance

Anis J
i'm getting the following kernel panic - seems like it's a grpahics kext causing the kernel panic but I'm not too sure. I've never had kernel panics before so never needed to look into this - consider me a n00b when it comes to KP. I've attached a screenshot hoping you might be able to help me with the error and tell me which kexts I need to fix / remove and how to remove again i'd like to thank everyone for their help in advance. UPDATE: I've resolved the kernel panic - woohoo!! All I had to do was remove the ATI 2000 kext that must've been installed during the updates and it boots without any kernel panics now. ace!! just hope a fix is found for the resolution. fingers crossed.
