Chrono86
Hey guys~ I just tried hex editing the mach kernel to allow my computer to restart itself. Believe me, I'm no idiot, I know how to do this stuff . Now instead of the computer hanging when I try to restart it just shuts down. I noticed after doing a search a number of users were having this problem, but nobody seems to have said how to solve it. I'm running 10.4.6 on an Athlon64 2800+. Any solutions? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22337-restart-fix-just-causes-shutdown/ Share on other sites

domino
I can't confirm on AMD, but the intel kernel hack works. What's your kernel version? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22337-restart-fix-just-causes-shutdown/#findComment-148675 Share on other sites
