tripplethrendo
Hey guys. I'm using the Kalyway 10.5.2 install on an Asus PW5-DH deluxe. Everything was going great, I installed it with no problems and used it for a couple weeks. Rebooted it yesterday and i get to the login screen, it shows my user name, I can enter in my password....everything looks peachy. But then it just doesn't go anywhere, the purple mac background stays there and it doesn't really hang, I can hit control-alt-apple X or something and get back to the login screen. So it's not like a hard lock, it just doesn't boot up all the way and start running the Finder. Any ideas? Need more info? Thanks for the help! Update: I booted into the Kalyway installation screen and used the Disk Utility. No problems with permissions were found, repair disk found nothing to be repaired. I used the terminal and I can see my partition and all the files on it. Everything seems ok. Rebooted again and still the same thing happens, I can boot into OS X just fine but then nothing happens. It just sits there with the purple Apple background, no hard lock, I can still get back to the login screen by pushing control alt apple x. Update: I tried using safe mode by adding -x to the startup options, and the same exact thing still happens. Strangeness. Any expert advice?
