Hi, I was wondering if I could install 10.6.3 (Or any later version for that matter, I know I need atleast 10.6.3) on my laptop using ##### and #####. I know it works with the Dell studio 1745 (I have the 1747).

PC Wizard says I have the following:

Mainboard : Dell 0J509P

Chipset : Intel P55

Processor : Intel Core i7 720QM @ 1600 MHz

Physical Memory : 4096 MB (2 x 2048 DDR3-SDRAM )

Video Card : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650

Hard Disk : ST9500420AS (500 GB)

DVD-Rom Drive : HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GA31N ATA Device

Monitor Type : MC13K€173WD1 - 17 inches

Network Card : BCM4310 USB Controller

Network Card : RTL8168/8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adapter

Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition 6.01.7600 (x64)

DirectX : Version 11.00

Windows Performance Index : 5.9 on 7.9

If anyone could help me I would be grateful, Thanks.

EDIT: Can somebody also tell me what would and wouldn't work on this? E.G. Wifi Card, Screen (Ive read that you have to have it on a external monitor?), HDMI etc. Thanks.

Wobble. I attempted it using ##### and it didn't work :D you need to change the ACPI but you can't from the BIOS and I don't know any other way of doing it. Unless somebody knows a way of doing it? Or another install method?
