merid Posted July 20, 2006 Share Posted July 20, 2006 after i installed imovieHD from ilife 6 i then rebooted my system (hard reboot because osx wont shut down my system properly) when i booted back up and was reading through the boot screen it paused on a line something about firewire something (i cant remember if it paused on this or not but its kinda weird after i tried to hook up my jvc camcorder to firewire and it wouldnt work.) anyway when it gets to the desktop all it shows is the background, no dock or bar at the top or icons on the desktop. i dont know what to do. i assume it was something to do with imovie but i dont know what to do other than reinstall...and i dont want to do that its a pain in the butt.
