Hello All,

I have the following PC:

Mobo : Asus P4P800

CPU : Pentium 4 2.8GHZ

RAM :2GB

DVD ROM : IDE/PATA DVD ROM

HDD : 1x150GB WB IDE

So I was able to boot iAtkos S2 (Snow leopard 10.6.3) and able to install hackintosh on my HDD (I can see my HDD, able to format able to customize my installation, installation complete successfully come with the big green tick computer restarts) however on its 1st boot all I see is the white apple screen I dont see the waiting circle (there is no sniping circle).

What is going on how can I resolve this? Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

It is an AGP card and I believe it is gForce MX440....I can get gForce 7800 if that makes any difference.

For AGP graphics card drivers see here.........

Thank but how do I install the driver when I can't boot into system and DVD doesn't have AGP drivers?

Start by using Leopard Install DVD distro, e.g. iPC 10.5.6 that includes AGPGart and use Disk Utility on the DVD to set up two volumes; one for Leopard and one for Snow leopard...........get Leopard running first and then use it to help with your SL installation.......

Hello verdant thank you for you reply, I tried installing IPC 10.5.6 universal PPF5 but unable to boot into the system to install. This is what happens :

I tried to boot the DVD using -v and I get the following message,

Mac OS version not yet set, not matter how I try to boot I get the same message do you know what is the problem here? Furthermore I trying to get the IPC live DVD to see whether that works.

Any thoughts ...

Assuming that you have correctly set your BIOS for OS X and that you have your IDE DVDRW jumper-set as Master and your IDE HDD jumper-set as Slave and correctly connected to the 80-wire IDE cable connecting them to your MOBO.........see IDE Cable connection section in post#1 here.........and since the DVD boot kernel is Voodoo 9.5.0 Release Version, which supports Pentium 4 / D / M CPUs, including your Pentium 4 2.8GHz SSE2 CPU...........so, try booting the DVD with:

-v -f busratiopath=7

Hmm I didnt know that the HDD needs to set as Slave, I will try this tonight thanks. And with regards to BIOS setting i think I have that configure correctly ... If i have issues I will have some photos for you take a look at my BIOS settings if that ok with you...

No problem.......but take photos of sub-menus too....... ;)

You may not have all of the following options but if you do, then set them as follows

ACPI Suspend Type [s3 (STR)]

ACPI APIC Support [Enabled]

CPU Internal Thermal Control [AUTO]

Limit CPUID MaxVal [DISABLED]

Enhanced C1 (C1E) [DISABLED]

Execute Disable Bit [ENABLED]

Virtualization Technology [DISABLED]

Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology [DISABLED]

Configure SATA as "AHCI" or Serial-ATA Configuration [Enabled]

JMicron SATA / PATA Controller [Disabled].....if JMicron present.....unless it works for you [Enabled].....but JMicron is known to cause problems for some....but JMicron patches for OS X Install DVDs are now appearing......

JMicron Controller Mode [AHCI]....if present.....

    Enable AC'97 Audio

Enable System Thermal (Why is CPU not on Q-FAN control ?)

Put IDE HDD as Slave on same channel (i.e. Primary IDE Channel) as the IDE DVDRW, or as Master on the Secondary IDE Channel.

busratiopath=7 should work for all CPUs according to Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel documentation but some Pentium 4 CPUs require busratiopath=6........so try

    -v -x busratiopath=7

    -v -x busratiopath=6

    -v -x busratiopath=7 -notscverify

    -v -x busratiopath=6 -notscverify

No matter what I do I cannot get passed the following error:

Mac OS not yet set.

Please see the screenshots

and this is the ISO i am using:

http://www.x-caleta.com/software/45130-ipc-x-live-dvd.html - live also doesn't work same issue, please help

The Pentium 4 CPU does not work with the Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel...........try the 9.4.0 StageXNU kernel , or the Voodoo 2 Alpha 3 kernel.........either appears to work............see here.........
