Riby
Hello! I'm not sure if this is right place to post my problem to, but I guess it is. I've got a problem with my newly-installed Snow Leopard. After successfull installation with ##### Supported and a retail version of Snow Leopard my hackintosh-project seems to have made a crashlanding. Snow Leopard only boots in safe mode (with the command -x before I boot), otherwise it just hungs up with either a white screen or a glitched white screen. I guess the problem could be caused by my video card..? In safe mode everything works as should (I guess - I haven't used Macs alot) expect of internet. Internet works if I boot my hackintosh with ##### Supported. If I boot my computer without it, Snow Leopard acts like it doesn't have the driver for my integrated ethernet-thingy (what I'm trying to tell you is that I haven't bought a ethernet card : D). Screen resolution is also bad. So I guess that this could be solved with installing right drivers? How do I do that? I've never installed anything to a Mac. Now I have unistalled my Snow Leopard so have you got other better ways to install it? Maybe with more drivers? Here are my computer's specs: Asus P7P55D Intel Core i5-750 Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 4850 1GB Kingston Valueram 4GB (2x2Gt) 1333MHz DDR3 Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA2 Thank you very, very much for your help! My graduation depends on this so I really need your help. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222964-snow-leopard-on-asus-p7p55d/ Share on other sites
MaLd0n
if the Internet works with #####, your driver has the mkext extract of mkext ##### with mkexttool Video use Lizard or edit boot.plist 1- use the kext legacyati4800controller.kex (E/E or S/L/E) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=59328 2- Graphicsenabler Use Lizard http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1034555/lizard/Lizard-custom.zip 2a-Auto detect value 2b-GraphicsInjection 2c-save REBOOT Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222964-snow-leopard-on-asus-p7p55d/#findComment-1499868 Share on other sites

My graduation depends on this so I really need your help. Hey man, i just installed a friends pc with similar components. Remember that the process of setting up your snow leopard will be a trial and error procedure, but once you know it you will be able to install it and have it run in 30 mins. Here is what i suggest you do> Boot with -x as you do... Download the DSDT.aml i attach here for you and put it in /extra. Download the 10.6.3 Combo update and install it, BUT DONT click restart... Download the newest version of ##### from http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/ and with it install the realtek kext from network, from non dsdt - evoreboot, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext, PlatformUUID.kext, FakeSMC.kext ( these should be in /extra after you install) , check the tools tab so it installs utilities like kexthelper - kext utility etc. From audio section install voodoohda. Check Aserebln chameleon and a 64 bit com.apple.Boot.plist. Check a 10.6.3 kernel for supported cpu and again do not restart! Download the Zeus flashing tool http://www.groths.org/?page_id=108 ( dont worry, we will not flash your card )) ) When you start Zeus, from the Ati tab, select your card, select your OS - than install Natit. From the Driver tab do the same, make sure you work with 10.6.3 all the time. Remember, the procedure is - Copy my DSDT to Extra, 10.6.3 combo update, #####, Zeus. After that is done, start the newly installed kext utility, type in your password and wait for it to finish. Click restart and you should have a running 10.6.3 system without any problems. Post your results here Cheers DSDT.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222964-snow-leopard-on-asus-p7p55d/#findComment-1501372 Share on other sites
Riby
I tried to install Snow Leopard again and did as the previous poster advised, but it didn't get me much further. After successful installation I installed the Combo update as advised and then downloaded the ##### (I didn't reboot). I downloaded the DSDT and tried to place it to the /extra, but I didn't have such a folder so I made it by myself. After that I ran the #####. I was able to install the realtek kext, evoreboot, IOACHIBlockStorageInjector, fakesmc, tools such as kext utility, voodohda (however ##### said that it can't be installed), Aserebin chameleon and 64 bit com.apple.Boot.plist. I was not able to find PlatformUUID and 10.6.3 kernel (I only had 10.3.1 so I chose that because it supported core i5). I tried this method twice. First without choosing custom DSDT and second choosing it and placing your DSDT on the desktop (I wasn't sure what should I do with it?). After that I used Zeus without any problems. I restarted my computer and it loaded the boot loader successfully. Then it booted Snow Leopard and the Apple boot screen started with the circling thingy. It circled for a minute or so and after that my screen went to sleep mode. It says there is no signal. I tried the same with safe boot but it didn't help either. After that I tried to reboot my computer, but it didn't boot! (this happened both times I tried to install SL) After about ten minutes it booted again. I almost had to change my pants. Now I have once again installed Snow Leopard and I'm waiting for your advices. What am I doing wrong? Again, I really appreciate your help! Thanks! //OK guys! Now I've got an almost fully (I guess) working hackintosh. It still doesn't boot without using safe mode, but when I boot it that way it works fine. Resolution is right - only thing that bugs me is that there are about one inch margins around the screen before there is any picture. Sounds doesn't work either, but I'm working on them. Only major problem is that when I boot my hackintosh normally it says that there is no signal coming to screen after Apple logo disappears. I installed the Snow Leopard and after that I installed the Combo update. After that I ran the ##### and installed the ##### solution, voodoohda, LegacyATI4800controller, realtek (for ethernet) and OSX Software. Then I ran the Lizard and did as MaLd0n suggested.
