rddrgn Posted June 26, 2010 Share Posted June 26, 2010 I had a fully working 10.6.3 install and recently decided to go with the full install using Stellarola's v3 installer. My configuration is almost identical to the lifehacker guide except for the graphics card which is a ati 4830. After installation and updating I have this one strange problem. When I click on the little apple on the top left and choose about this mac, the whole computer pauses and then a blue screen and back to the desktop. Any applications open at that time are forcibly closed such as Mozilla firefox. Another strange thing I noticed was that every time I rebooted my ethernet was not detected but when I click on system preferences and choose network, a new interface detected message appears and asks me to click on apply. I do it and presto magic a new ether net interface appears and connects. I am now up to ethernet 10. Someone please help me solve this problem, I am mostly trying to solve the first problem since the second problem allows me to still work around it.
