Look at your System Profile, in the firewire tab, you need that your Firewire port is detected in the first place, if your firewire port is detected when you connect your camcorder refresh the information and you will see somethig new, if the new information says 'Unknow Device', it doesn´t mean you have a problem, start iMovie and look at the main window, i everythig went fine you will see 'Camcorder Conncted'. merid Posted July 19, 2006 Author Share Posted July 19, 2006 ok so after i installed imovie i didnt restart, well after i did so now i have no dock or icon's on the desktop. just my back ground...oops...what did i do? edit: when i boot into 10.4.6 it pauses at the line where it says something like firewire installed..blah blah blah... then keeps going saying that a bunch of stuff could not be loaded.
