zoob
Hi Guys, Having an issue with my Dell 3007WFP-HC and my Hackintosh: 10.6.4 + DSDT injection for card detection of GTX285 + GTS250 GTX285 drives a Dell 3007WFP-HC GTS250 drives two Dell 2007FP's rotated 90 degrees. My Dell 3007WFP-HC detects as 2560x1600, however all apps seem to think it's 0 Hz, and even in Display options it does not list a way to modify the refresh rate, whereas it's available for my other monitors Dell 2007FP's. 2007FP's that show the refresh rate: EVGA GTS 250: Chipset Model: EVGA GTS 250 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: PCI PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 512 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0615 Revision ID: 0x00a2 ROM Revision: nVidia GeForce GTS250 OpenGL Engine Displays: DELL 2007FP: Resolution: 1200 x 1600 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: 90 DELL 2007FP: Resolution: 1200 x 1600 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: 90 3007WFP-HC that does not show refresh rate: EVGA GTX 285: Chipset Model: EVGA GTX 285 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: PCI PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 1024 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x05e3 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: nVidia GeForce GTX285 OpenGL Engine Displays: SwitchResX4 - DELL3007WFPHC: Resolution: 2560 x 1600 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected When I run OpenGL Extensions Viewer, and run a test, it shows: 2560 x 1600, 24 bits, 0 Hz, FSAA x 0 The OpenGL tab shows: Desktop: 2560 x 1600 x 32 bpp, 1200 x 1600 x 32 bpp (60.0 Hz), 1200 x 1600 x 32 bpp (60.0 Hz) I am perplexed. At first I thought it was my KVM (ATEN CS1782), but then I bypassed the KVM and no luck. I swapped my displays around to different cards, thinking maybe it was a GPU driver issue, however even on my GTS250 the 3007 gives no refresh rate, while the GTX285 with 2007FP does. Anyone have any ideas, or am I SOL and should just ditch the Dell and get an ACD 30"? Any help and/or insight would be much appreciated. zoob
Looks like a non-issue. I went to the local Apple store to do a bit of research on their MacPro 4,1 and 30" ACD. It behaved exactly the same. 2560x1600, 0 Hz in OpenGL Extension Viewer, no refresh rate adjustment.
