Hi!

Since the Safari 5 update, all new tabs only open in the background, i.e. the currently active tab stays active.

I'd prefer to have the newly created tab activated (so I could cmd+t and start typing an URL to open) which doesn't work anymore.

I know the "tabs"-settings in Preferences but they don't seem to work.

For example, either cmd+click or shift+cmd+click (depending on the settings) should open the link in a new tab AND activate it.

Whatever I set - both shortcuts always open the new tab and leave the current tab active.

I have ClickToFlash, Saft and Safaria Adblocker (the one that runs @64 bit) installed.

The system runs in 64 bit mode - I also have MacBook running in 32 bit mode with the same addons which doesn't show this problem.

I haven't yet tried to see if the problem occurs on the HackMack in 32 bit mode too, but I don't think that's the cause...

Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?
